CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PLACEMENTS

. Interns shall be: graduates linked to the University of León, and any of the Spanish Universities that may achieve the aims of our Project.

. Length of the placements: 6 months

. Allowances of the grant: cost of living, travel expenses, language and cultural allowances.

 

BENEFITS AND OBLIGATIONS FOR EMPLOYERS

Employers shall benefit from the programme in the following ways:

. They shall have a worker with different skills and with a different background who, consequently, will be able to take a different approach.

. They shall be able to compare the standard of their workers with that of the foreign candidates. They will, therefore, see what skills they need in order to be more competitive in Europe.

. There shall be no contractual relationship between interns and the company.

. The interns shall be able to start work immediately.

The employer shall have the following obligations:

. The company has to assign a tutor who will supervise the activities of the intern.

. Once the placement has been completed, the company shall produce a report outlining the intern's performance. The intern will also produce a similar report for ULE - F.G.U.L.E.M., and a copy shall be handed to the company.

The employer is not required to insure the grant-holder as he/she has already been insured by the Consortium. The company may do so if it is felt that the insurance is not adequate.

The company is not required to pay the intern as he/she shall be receiving the Leonardo grant. However, due to the low monthly assignment of the grant, the company may contribute with an extra amount, which will complement the grant.
