FGULEM is the acronym of Fundación General de la Universidad de León y de la Empresa.

Mission of Fgulem

To promote the exchange of experiences and services of added value between the University and the business network of León, especially in the field of employment, training and technological transference.

Vision

Our wish is to act as a driving force of the innovation and exchange of services between the University, the business network and its socio-economic environment, promoting the research, detection and fulfilment of new needs of the different groups of interest.

In this way, we hope to become a local and regional point of reference for these groups, which should permit us to be recognized by society as one of the most outstanding organizations in its field at a national level.

Objetives

• To promote the experiences and services of added value between the University and the business network.
• To promote science, culture and education.
• To promote the dialogue and the communication between the companies and the University of León.
• To find solutions for the fulfilment of common needs.
• To act as an information and coordination centre for all companies that wish to collaborate with the University of León.

Activity area

The principal work areas, where the services and basic programs of FGULEM are included, are:

• Professional promotion and internships for graduates in companies and institutions through the Training Programs for University Graduates.
• Information and professional orientation for graduates.
• Support to the innovation and transference of technology.
• Training for companies and professionals.
• Continuous training for university professors and teachers in general.

Institutional activity

Since the start of its activity, FGULEM has intensively and closely worked with the principal regional, national and international authorities and institutions in order to obtain the necessary support and appreciation for the fulfilment of its task.

• Member of the Red de Fundaciones Universidad Empresa (RED-FUE).
• Member of the Asociación Española de Fundaciones (AEF).
• Collaborating Centre of the Servicio Regional de Colocación of the Assembly of Castile and León.
• Member of the Centro de Enlace Galactea de Transferencia de Tecnología of the European Union.
• Member of the RED-OTRI of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
• Promoter of the Leonardo Da Vinci Program (CEE).
